Keep the confirmed campus, department, appointment and language arrangement.Ask the treating clinician about assessment and the exact proposed technique before agreeing to treatment.Tell the treating clinician about medicines, possible pregnancy and implanted devices; do not change medicines yourself.Keep the itemised estimate, payment or insurance arrangement and cancellation terms.Collect treatment records, bills and follow-up contacts before departure.

When you should not come

Do not use this tool for an emergency, an unexplained lump awaiting assessment, or a promise to replace cancer treatment. Pregnancy and other individual risks require a clinician’s discussion before treatment. An enquiry or completed checklist is not medical clearance.
